The CAL FIRE/County of San Luis Obispo Fire Department’s Fire Incident Viewer Website has been out of commission for several weeks. We are aware of the public’s concern over the status of the Incident Viewer Website. The department does plan to make the website available again in the future. However, we ask that the public be patient as we continue to update the website, work out the issues, and ensure its reliability.

CAL FIRE/ San Luis Obispo County Fire is committed to providing the public with the most accurate and up to date information available. We do this in a number of ways.

1. Department Website - www.calfireslo.org provides department information, and includes a live stream of our Twitter account on the home page.

2. Social Media - The @calfire_slo Twitter account receives frequent updates during emergencies and any time we have department news or safety messages.

3. CAL FIRE Website - www.fire.ca.gov provides information on statewide fires as well as county fire incidents. The CAL FIRE Ready Set Go App is a free downloadable app that provides fire information and is customizable to your preference for notification. This free App is available for any smart device.

4. Traditional Media - CAL FIRE staff are committed to frequent media updates. They achieve this through phone calls, interviews, and news releases.

We understand that the public’s interest in the Incident Viewer Website, and appreciate their desire to stay informed. However, we remind the public that the website is provided as a courtesy. It provides only very basic dispatch information; it does not provide any updates on conditions. At no time should this website be utilized to make evacuation, or other personal safety decision.

Anyone can also sign up for for Reverse 911 with the County Sheriff's Office, and the public is encouraged to stay tuned to the information resources previously mentioned for the most accurate information on fires and other emergencies in the SLO County area.
